Repair or replace

Repair first. Replace only when there is no door left to save.

A standard patio slider has more than thirty moving parts. When one wears out the whole door feels dead, and it is easy to be told the only answer is a new unit. Usually it is not.

Worn rollers, a mushroomed track rail, a keeper plate out of line — all of it is serviceable without touching the frame. We recommend replacement only when the frame itself is genuinely gone, and we will say so plainly when it is.

Questions we get asked

Do you offer same-day service?

In most of our Florida service area, yes, depending on technician availability. We will tell you honestly when we book, not after.

How long does a typical repair take?

Most take 30 to 90 minutes. We carry the common rollers, tracks and locks on the truck, so most doors are fixed in one visit.

Should I repair or replace my sliding door?

In most cases repair is enough and saves thousands. We can restore doors other companies say must be replaced. Replacement only makes sense when the frame itself is badly damaged.

What does a repair cost?

It depends on what has failed. The on-site estimate is free and you get the number before any work starts.

What types of sliding doors do you repair?

Patio doors, balcony doors, impact sliders, pocket doors, closet sliders, sliding windows and screens.

Why do sliding doors fail faster here?

Salt and brackish humidity destroy standard steel roller bearings. On the canals and near the Gulf they can fail in a fraction of their inland lifespan.
